A vehicle with a long and vibrant history, the Jeep Wrangler continues to cater to a specialized market. People fall in love with its distinctive looks. They fall in love with its powerful silhouette. They fall in love with its
performance. The fact is, you just can't get much better than the 2010 Jeep Wrangler for off road 4x4 ability. Choose from trim levels like the Rubicon, Sport, Sahara or Unlimited. You'll get the standard four-wheel drive capability backed up by a V-6 and heavy-duty off road suspension. After a day of four-wheel driving fun, you can simply wash out the interior of any dirt or debris. This is simply a fun vehicle to have - and one that can get you just about anywhere you need to be. Although the Wrangler was completely redesigned for the 2007 model year, new features for the 2010 model year include more standard features for the base level Sport trim including an outdoor temperature gauge, tow hooks and fog lamps.
The Wrangler handles like a Jeep, meaning you buy it for its looks and its unbeatable off-roading performance, not for the smoothest ride out there. But if you like to put the soft top down and have the wind whipping through your hair in one of the most fun vehicles out there then this is the one for you. Of course being seen in town driving it it with the doors off and the windshield down is pretty cool too.
The outside of the Wrangler is as Americana as jeans and cowboy hats. It has retained its shape and much of its construction. From the front you're sure to recognize the telltale round headlight and slotted grille. In fact, buyers would probably be up in arms if Jeep changed it. For 2010 the Wrangler keeps its removable hardtop, doors, and fold down windshield. This year, the soft-top was redesigned to be more easily removed.
Standard features for the 2010 Jeep Wrangler include a full-size matching spare tire that is mounted to the rear gate, 16-inch steel wheels with 17 or 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels as an option, and the removable
doors and fold down windshield. The 10.2 inches of ground clearance is another selling feature for those looking for an off-roading experience. The Wrangler also includes several safety features. These include stability control with a rollover sensor, hill start assist, antilock brakes and optional front-seat side airbags.
The inside of the 2010 Wrangler is functional - as it was meant to be. The hard plastic interior means you can easily wash down surfaces without any trouble. If you drive it with the soft top on, you'll appreciate the
lockable glove compartment and center console armrest. Though not loaded up on the creature comforts as some SUVs are, you still have some pretty good options. Choose from either cloth or leather seats, and the six-speaker sound system that includes a CD player and MP3 jack is standard. Other options include cruise control, an upgraded sound system, navigation system, and air conditioning.
All Jeep Wranglers come with a 3.8-liter V-6 yielding 2010 horsepower. Choose from either a six-speed manual transmission or four-speed automatic (optional). The 2010 Jeep Wrangler comes in the Sport, Rubicon
and Sahara trims levels. You can also opt for the four-door Unlimited. The Sport trim level includes a folding soft top, cloth seats, a one-piece flip-and-fold removable rear seat, 16-inch steel wheels, tilt steering wheel, and fog lamps. Add the Mountain package and you get 17-inch alloy wheels, tail lamp guards, tubular side steps, badging, and off-road tires. Opt for the Islander package and you'll get a performance suspension, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and unique badging. The Sahara includes everything on the Sport plus 18-inch wheels, air-conditioning, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Infinity stereo, cruise control, and upgraded exterior trim (part of the Power convenience Group).
The Rubicon trim level adds 17-inch alloy wheels, an electronic stabilizer bar disconnect, a stronger front axle, rock rails, Infinity stereo, cruise control, electronically locking front and rear differentials, and leather wrapped steering wheel. The Unlimited trim level adds a bigger fuel tank, 60/40 split folding rear seat, air conditioning, rear doors, and a lot more cargo space (to the tune of 80 cubic feet). A navigation system, half-metal doors, and an upgraded stereo with CD and an iPod interface are also available on the Sahara and Rubicon.
Owners of the 2010 Jeep Wrangler are sure of one thing; their car will get them there - no matter what the obstacle. At the same time, tooling around town with the top down and doors off is a pretty cool look. Either way you slice it, the Wrangler is an American legend.
